Shirley I'm sorry that Fred has had her accident. She is such a cute dog. I would definately get the 2nd opinion and since your going to your vet on Monday you can ask then. I have no idea what to do for a torn ACL but, it must be painful. Maybe that's why she is sleeping more? I'll be praying for you and Fred. Our pets are like one of our family. Shirley, I'm very happy the Fred is doing better. They are so much a part of our life. Bobbie is getting "the works" on Saturday. He'll get a distemper shot, thyroid panel, (he has hyper or hypo thyroidism, never can remember which one he has.) His toenails will be trimmed because the little bugger won't let near him with the clippers. New shampoo, eye ointment, that's because he can't make his own tears, heartgard. Oh and they'll drain a bump that is on his back. Poor dog....he'll definately need a treat by the end of this doctor's appointment! Soon I'll put a picture of him, and the family.
