Welcome Ann! That is wonderful that you are so privileged to raise Andalusians!!! My husband and I live in SW Indiana and about 15 years started a young Andalusian mare under saddle. She was the horse I had waited for all of my life. After working with horses for over 20 years, giving riding instruction, competing and re-training many horses who had had the bad luck to be off the track or dealt with horribly previously, I was ready for this dream horse. However, I was only able to keep her 4 years due to health issues. We homeschooled our kids for a few years and had all kinds of other

livestock. Now our middle daughter is also about to be married and our youngest son will leave for the Air Force next July after completing a year of college. I grew up in an area of Indiana right in Tornado alley and in the last decade have lived in flood plains. In fact last year our farm was almost wiped out due to big waters!!! But we're resilient people aren't we? God is good too! Like you I have lots of life experiences too - in fact, I get the impression that everybody on this list does. Guess we can't help it! Take care and don't let those big equine friends push you around! Mine - Luci - was a rare jewel and instead

of pushing me around, was always very careful around me and even acted as my 'guard dog'. Sure do miss that horse! Royal Heir Farm Southwestern Indiana Andalusians wrote: Hi, My name is Ann Atkinson. I am from Missouri, near the Kansas line in the middle of the state. Right in tornado highway. We've lived here 5 years and only experienced two, but they were rather scary!! We have a very secure storm cellar. I own, train, breed and raise Andalusian show horses. I also have two kids, one is about to get married () and Ian who is 14 going on 15. I homeschool him. He has type 1 diabetes and epilepsy and a closed head injury. Myself, I have recently diagnosed MS, epilepsy (diag. In 1970), and 3 very bad closed head injuries and one open. I have a rather "dangerous" job says my neuro, but I can keep on doing it. I closed head injury

was from getting hit by a drunk driver, we had our seat belts on, thank goodness, and the airbags went off or we'd have been dead. I did however hit my head on the dash before the airbag opened. The man went to jail for 12 years w/o parole. I had my son with me, who was buckled up in the back seat of the truck. We were on our way home from one of his dr appts. I have lots of experiences I can share. I enjoy reading the posts. My neuro isn't up much on MS as he is epilepsy. My pain management dr is the one who finally listened to me and did a complete work up. I just had a treatment done on my back this past week because it was hurting so bad. But this doc is really up on MS. Well, I have bored you enough.... Till next time!! Ann from MO the Chihuahua Happy & Safe Holiday Season, Rev.
