Guest guest
Peggy, Oh, it is like a dream come true. My old kitchen was awful. The cabinets were built in such a way that I couldn't even get into my corner cabinets. It was so much work just to get to what I needed to cook. Now, it is all so convenient. All the lower shelves pull out and I have a lazy susan in the cabinet in the corner. My friend went to Savannah and brought back a a Deen cookbook and I have been busy making all the recipies and EATING! We had to spend some of our 'old age' money to get it done. Now, if I miraculously live into old age, I will have to live under a bridge! I have an electric cookstove, but I learned to cook on a gas stove. The changeover was so difficult. You will eventually get used to it. Hugs, Joyce >> Hey Joyce, How is the new kitchen?? I am learning to use this elec. stove.> Gas just seems to cook more evenly.. Guest guest
Peggy, I was told that you could not use cast iron skillets with the glass tops. I love my skillets, so I passed on it. I am learning to cut back on sugar and especially butter in her recipes. She goes nuts with butter. I am so glad that you are able to get back into the kitchen. I remember when you were not able to do that. God is so good. Hugs, Joyce > >> > Hey Joyce, How is the new kitchen?? I am learning to use this elec. stove.> > Gas just seems to cook more evenly.. Guest guest
Love and Prayers, Peggy 9/04 ipf Florida Ginger, My doctor was explaining this to me at my last visit. Last night I found this on the site 'The Pulmonary Paper'. Patients with pulmonary fibrosis have stiff lungs. The increased effort and work of breathing for these patients is interpreted by the brain as shortness of breath. This uncomfortable feeling can be quite profound despite normal oxygen levels. This may help to explain why those with lung disease still feel short of breath even when they use oxygen and have normal levels measured at the doctors office. You should probably touch down with your doctor. Hugs to you, Joyce PF 1997 Bronchiectasis 2004 Indiana > > I am having a real rough evening. Guest guest
Joyce, First how are you?? Did the trip knock you down?? I have been worried about you. How is your Daughter?? Have you found out how long she will have to be in the hospital? Which Daughter is it? I looked at their sweet faces then realized I didn't know. I am praying for you and your Daughter. Love and Prayers, Peggy 9/04 ipf Florida Jo, I am glad that you are going to see your primary. Please let us know what he says. I have had pneumonia before and not had obvious symptoms. I hope that God will help you today. Guest guest
Hi Peggy,She was actually home when we got here Saturday. Her sister had stayed with her at the hospital. I can't do hospitals. I would not last long. I am good for a couple of hours, then I need to rest. I have learned what I need to do to survive this far and one thing I can't do is push myself too hard. This has been hard work. It makes me appreciate the work of nurses. The patient is Sonja, my oldest daughter. She is in a brace and still has dressings so she needs help bathing, getting in and out of bed, etc. Between her dad and I, we are getting the job done. Every day is a little better. I hate seeing her in pain. She has a 10 inch incision and staples. The trip went well. It is such a boring drive and we have made it so many time. After we leave the rolling hills of Southern Indiana, it is flat farm land for 7 hours......The first couple are entertaining, but they tend to lose thier appeal after hours and hours. Then when we get to Chicago, the traffic is horrendous. She lives up on the north side and it takes forever getting here through traffic. Traffic was not bad on Saturday, though. It is hard being away from home and my routine. It is snowing here and so pretty. She lives in a wooded area and the trees are just laden down with snow. God just makes such beautiful displays of his handiwork for us to enjoy. Continue to pray for her and for us to have a safe drive home this weekend. I miss all my grandbabies!
