Guest guest
Is your son on a lot of antibiotics? My daughter is only 5 but has had a lot of infections (she's immune deficient) and has been on a lot of antibiotics--very strong ones that have given her bad bouts of diarrhea. We now give her acidophalus daily and 3x when she's back on antibiotics. Acidophalus is naturally found in yogurt and as supplements in grocery chains and nutritional stores. We give her a lot of yogurt in addition to the supplements. For the past 2 years they have kept her from having diarrhea almost completely. It's possible he has an overgrowth of yeast in his system. This is " alternative " medicine talking--most docs won't consider this as a disease or the treatment as real. An immunologist is who you'd see though if you do want to have it tested. Ongoing diarrhea might be a sign of a " true " yeast infection by conventional medical standards. (Always keep your alternative theories separate from your conventional theories or you won't be taken seriously from the docs!)
