For the past four days, I've done nothing but either sleeping or on

this contraption.

I feel very " down " too, and that's not like me. Everything bothers

me,I 'fly off the handle at everything', I need to talk to my doctor,

but of course, he's not in right now.

Bye.

Hello & good evening, or good morning, whichever the case may be,

I may have solved the reason I've been depressed lately, I've had

three setbacks while in physical therapy since late September

until this past wednesday. I was supposed to go for another sesion this

morning, but wasn't up to it.

I had a long talk with a new friend, and she has helped me put two

and two together. I think, and I hope I feel better soon.

Take care and feel better than me, ha, ha, ha.

And I'll try to do the same.

Hi ,

I hope that you have come out of your funk by now. I have been there

myself. Pain has a way of doing that to us unsuspecting nice people.

As well as my pain I found out that i have to go back on the Plavics

because of the medicated stent that was put in me after my heart

attack 2 summers ago. Sometimes I ask the Big Guy What's going on

here too? All we can do is keep on going a day at a time.

The change of the weather has a lot to do with it. Being laid up for a

long period of time will also do that to us. I know for sure it will

pass. And I know for sure that you will get depressed again.

Just keep on talking and hopefully that will help you get out of

yourself. I will paint a picture or work on a model to get out of my

funk sometimes. Even though I cannot do it for long it takes my mind

off of my problems. Even doing those word puzzles helps. Believe me, I

have been going through this since 1990 and I have learned a few

tricks to keep me focused. It does not make things better it just

distracts me enough to get out of my own head (which is a dangerous

place to be).

Hope this helps.

Hello Mark,

I think I am feeling a little better, all I do now is think of my

family and all of my nieces and nephews, and the funny thing is

they've done and I've had the pleasure to witness, and I feel

better. Though not 100%, better though.

I do make it a habit to watch the sun rise every morning, that can

help too.

Sometimes a change in my routine can help too, like tonight's

dinner will be home made " sloppy joes. " I hadn't made those in

years, it can bring back some good memories.

Family is important, even talking to old friends, like I did this

afternoon. A friend from high school(1974) called just to say hi,

it was good to hear from her again. And we " visited " some very old

funny stories too!

That cheered me up, and a few kind words from group members, have

helped tremendosly too.

I think it IS the medication, now that I've been talikng to my family

and friends, that helps too. My doctor called me again this afternoon, he was on

call at the hospital and was concerned too. I couldn't ask for better care, huh?
