Guest guest Posted August 24, 2001 Report Share Posted August 24, 2001 hi everone, we finally have good news, erikas bronchcsopy finally showed marked improvement, the airway, the arynoids, all that area is fianlly not big and bulky, it is firmer! we meet with NYU team on 9/10 to discuss if we can try and decannulate, the bad news was that they said when they pulled th jaw forward it made a big differnce, so we hope they dont want to pursue the jaw distraction. we are hoping that sicne she has made so much improvemnt over the last 9mons this is enough. anyway that is our fianlly good news! they did her first MRI this week to look for any abnormalities int he swallow function, we dont have the results yet, i dont even know if i want to know what they found in the brain. thats it for now!, of PS we also did a VCUG adn erika finally out grew the kideny reflux, so things to get BETTER! cathie, mom to erika w/CHARGE Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
