Guest guest
Green smoothie 1-2 peeled granny smith apples cut up and cored 1 peeled cucumber cut up 1 small piece of ginger 2 stalks of celery and 3 handfuls of some kind of green like baby spinach, kale, or romaine Add a little water to a blender or vitamix and then add ingredients, blend until smooth. My boys eat it like applesauce and love it. I had to initially start out with more apples and less greens. You can actually make them with any kind of fruit and any kind of green. I have done 1 cup pineapple, 2 bananas, 2 stalks celery, and baby spinach. Also 4 peaches, 2 stalks celery, and some kind of green. Very nutritious and easy to digest because it is blended up. When digestion started to improve ( I wasn't finding kale in the potty anymore) we started with quinoa. I started finding this in the potty. So I started soaking it. We soaked for 24 hours with some young coconut kefir in the soak. Then moved to 36 hours for soaking. This really helped digestion. Basically just fill a bowl with good filtered water and the yck. Then it's important to rinse really well. Especially quinoa as it has a real aftertaste. I have a metal screen basket with handle and a metal screen collindar. As our kids were healing (after a year or so) we didn't have to soak everything so long and always with yck. In the beginning this was critical. I still have something soaking on my counter every night. Right now it's flax seeds. We can now eat all seed grains, millet, quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, pecans, almonds, cashews, walnuts, seeds, and flax. I soak it all but usually just over night....kind of a before bed routine. Blessings dear friend! >> Hey !> > I am trying to learn how to soak nuts and seeds as well as BED grains. Do you soak and sprout or just soak? How long for each? Guest guest
I am amazed that you have children who will drink that! My son (10) would never. He hates anything green, wont eat applesauce (or any fruit) or any smoothies. How wonderful you can get that good nutrition into them!
