tootiebess from sher...you're funny girl!

I was in Burlington AL a few years back and loved it! We even ate fried green tomato's at Irondale, where the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" was made.

They say about us Oregonians that we have web feet (so much rain) and I can assure you my feet aren't webbed although my toenails look a bit strange. (due to the clubbing nails of pf).

however when you get a bunch of women bickering and yes I said women it just escalates. Who cares who said what just support each other.

....gonna add my two cents worth. When one joins this group, we re already scared and hurting. Mostly we are looking for understanding, compassion and answers. We usually make contact with the first person that reaches out to us compassionately. Many times, Joyce Dalton is a soul toucher, as is Peggy and many others on here. I personally, have to be babied and approached tenderly. I want someone to say, "yes I know exactly how you feel." I want someone to empathize with me...to feel and know what I am going through. We are so blessed to have many on here who "bear one another's burdens." It is commendable, in my opinion that some feel the need to come to the rescue of those that are hurting. I am not so sure it is *bickering*...but reaching out in compassion to someone who is hurting and being hurt more by a particular response. As for myself, I know I can not handle feeling like someone is fussing at me or scolding me for being honest in what I feel. I believe it narrows down to trying to feel what that person is going through...putting yourself in their place, and responding accordingly.

Very well put Laurie. I couldn't agree more. What a tragedy that this group has lost Carolyn's knowledge and insight into the medical profession simply because of "hurt feelings". I personally gained a lot from Carolyn's posts and will truly miss her. What a shame.

First off my heart aches for what Carolyn must be going through. That being said I just took the time to go back and read the posts of this soap opera and I cannot believe it. I find it ridiculous I do not have this disease it is my husband who has it (99) I think this board has been a wealth of info for me however when you get a bunch of women bickering and yes I said women it just escalates. Who cares who said what just support each other. I feel a lot more men would join if there were no petty arguments. That being said I am glad that I have been able to get the info I did and have been helped with a lot of info especially from Joyce. Joyce you were there for me in a big way, thank you. I hope I did not open a new can of worms I do think it is time I step out as I do not have the disease however once again thank you for all the info.

Dear Laurie, ....me too! We've lost a valuable member to the group! Carolyn and have contributed much. I don't know if any of you have read that poignent letter that she wrote in reply to my thank you note. I sent it to 2 of my children, like me they were moved. I printed it out. I complained 1x that I felt ignored when I wrote, did it opened a stream of responses. Yeah, men could give us more of a balance. But then this board give many a chance to vent. PS. where have you been? Gretell e wrote: First off my heart aches for what Carolyn must be going through.
