Guest guest
I know I haven't posted in forever so it's a bit early to start venting- but I know you guys will understand. About six months ago, I had just had a baby, I was binge eating and not working out. I was the most unhealthy person ever. Fast forward to today. I strength train with my trainer 2 days a week and I do an additional day on my own. I workout HARD with him. No sissy stuff. I do cardio 6 days a week, anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes at a time. I burn at least 500 calories a session. I do Kung Fu 2 nights a week. I keep a meticulous food log. I eat at least 175 grams of protein a day. I keep my carbs around 150 g a day- most of that coming from fruit, veggies and non fat milk. I keep my calories between 1400 and 1600 a day (my trainers says I need 2000, but that's just too much!!) I don't eat sugar. I keep my saturated fat as low as possible. With all of that- I have not lost an ounce in well over a month!!!!!! What gives?! Seriously, compared to how I used to eat (3000+ calories a day from fried foods and sugar) and how I used to exercise (walking to the fridge was it), the weight should be FALLING off me!! It's not and I don't understand it. I really don't know what more I could be doing. It's so frustrating. If I were cheating or not working my butt off, I could understand not losing and I would not complain. It's just so disheartening to work sooooooo hard and not see any results on the scale. I am seeing other results, such as feeling healthier, seeing more muscle tone, more energy, more strength, etc. I do try to focus on those things, but I am so sick of seeing that giant number on the scale!! Now, I know muscle is heavier, etc., etc., but SOME fat should be leaving me by now. Does anyone have any plateau busting advise for me?
