Guest guest
Our therapy department is wanting to address the needs that may exist in our Women's Health Center, a location that has not had a very large therapy presence. Could the group provide me some feedback as to the typical diagnoses that you would work with and programs that may be of value in this setting? We are already providing lymphedema and are about to initiate incontinence training. Any other ideas? Thanks, Curtis
Guest guest
Some ideas that come to mind: Pelvic Pain, pregnancy and postpartum education and exercise classes, pre-op education re: shoulder exercises for breast CA patient's who are undergoing surgery, osteoporosis education/exercise classes, pilates/yoga classes. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Curtis, Incontinence is indeed an important area. Additionally, I would take a look at osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and back pain - especially the pregnant and post-partem population. Good luck! Kathy J.
