Guest guest
Hi, My name is and I have been a Tae-Bo lover for many years. About 6 years ago I lost 20+ pounds using my TaeBo videos. However, in 2004 I had a rough pregnancy and last year I had a bad slip and fall causing me to go through months of physical therapy. All in all I am up 30lbs and climbing. I am very devastated as I have been trying to diet and exercise with no results. I believe that getting back into TaeBo may be my only hope at this point. I just hope my back can handle it now. I have a few questions and I would love to hear your suggestions. First of all I homeschool my 4 children ages 2- 11. I find it so hard to get more than 30 mins for a workout in my day. Do any of you have any 30 min tapes that you would recommend? I just can't take more than that away from the kids in one block. (The earlier I get up the earlier they get up). Also, I have been trying to watch what I eat. I'm trying to eat more fruits and more frequent smaller meals, however, I feel like I'm starving all the time. Instead of being over stuffed because I eat every 2-3 hours I'm hungry all day long. I'd love to hear some suggestions. Thank you so much! Guest guest
Thanks Toshia,I actually LOVE having my kids home with me. I find it so rewarding to be there when they learn and get things. It's such a great world to share with them. I would have one home all day anyway with the 2 year old, but still I couldn't imagine having them away from me for the greater part of their lives. They do have classes and such that they go to so I'm not always with them. I feel like I'm making excuses when I say why I can't work out here or there. Usually I find I need to work out first thing in the morning. I know it's probably just a vicious cycle that I am caught in, but by 2 - 3 pm I am so exhausted (probably from lack of exercise). I could possibly work out right after dinner on some nights, but the kids typically have some club or event they need to be at most nights. So, energy wise I'm useless after 2 or 3 anyway so I typically will only do walks after that time. I do not sleep well at all which hinders me greatly when it comes time to wake up. If I could just sleep through the night I think it would help tremendously. Again, I'm sure exercise will definitely help in this area, I just need to get there. My boys will wake up if and stay up any time after 7 am and heath wise right now if I try and work out any earlier than that (and that is a stretch) I get extremely jittery and find it hard to function through my day. (I've always had these problems since I had really bad mono years and years ago). When I was working out really well and in the " groove " it helped so much I can't tell you. I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about. I just need to get there using whatever steps I can. Usually I can get up at 8 and workout until 8:30 then shower to be ready for school at 9. However, if I don't sleep or something comes up to make me lose this time I just don't get it done. I actually thought about getting the kids taebo and having my boys do that with me every morning. I try and do Taebo 3x a week with hand weights/ resistance bands 2x. This was the schedule that really helped me in the past. I just need to find a way to maximize a 55 min tape into 30-35 mins. Thanks for all of your suggestions and help. I truly appreciate it!!! Hey , I feel your pain, I recently had a shoulder injury and I'm going to have to do months of physical therapy. It's frustrating because you want to just get started in a weight training routine and/or get right into a workout routine where you can do everything you possibly can and with an injury you can't rush it or it will get worst. So that my current dilemmia. With your kids being homeschooled is working out after they go to bed an option or before they wake up? Or even doing like I do either while dinner is cooking or after dinner my son and I go out to the bike path and I power walk and my son rides his scooter or his heely's. It is hard to find the time when you have kids. I just want to know how you don't pull your hair out spending that much time with your kids, thats a lot of time constantly on the go, I praise anyone that can do it. Well I gotta run, talk to you soon. Tosh New Member Introduction Hi,My name is and I have been a Tae-Bo lover for many years. About6 years ago I lost 20+ pounds using my TaeBo videos.
