Guest guest
I know that I do not post very often and that is just because I am such a busy person. I do read most of the digests and that is because I get them e-mailed to me. This sounded very interesting to me. I also wanted to let everyone know that I am very close to Cleveland and if anyone is coming they are more than welcome to e- mail me personally for my phone number or any information that I may be able to help find out for you. I know that Cleveland has alot of great doctors. We currently take Brooklynn to Akron Children's just because it is closer by about 30 minutes and alot of the doctor's from Akron also do some Cleveland and we have doctor's that come from Cleveland for special circumstances. The people and doctor's are really teriffic. Anything I can do to help please let me know. The definition for Noonan's Syndrome that I have found in my medical dictionary is: The male equivalent of 's syndrome. Clinically, there are low- set ears, webbing of the neck, congenital heart disease, cubitum valgum, and sometimes severe mental retardation. Cubitum valgum is a deformity of the arm. 's syndrome is a congenital endocrine disorder caused by failure of the ovaries to respond to pituitary hormone stimulation. Clinically, there is amenorrhea, failure of sexual maturation, and usually short stature. About one third of these patients have webbing of the neck and may have marked cubitus valgus(deformity of the arm). Intelligence my be impaired. These patients usually have only 45 chromosomes, the second X chromosome being absent. From the sounds of most of these definitions and the reading I have done sounds almost like CHARGE syndrome. There are a few differences but not of a great deal. Maybe it is just me. Definately something that I will read more into now as soon as I find the time. Thanks! Mom to Bridget(sibling, 3years) and Brooklynn (charger, 7 months) and mom to be again in July
