Guest guest Posted July 20, 2011 Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 Hi Sam, yes, I know attenuation means reducing, but I don't understand its use in the context of a cyst and why it said "water attenuation". Or how they would know from a one time CT scan that it was reducing. Of course I'm scared to death, and my mind goes places I don't want it to go! I had a problem with functional cysts on my ovaries all through my pre-menopause years, and had mittelschmerz (spelling?). With this apparently large cyst, I have felt nothing. So that worries me too. Thank you for your note, I appreciate it so much. Gael Attenuation means "gradually reducing".
