We started with one pill once a day for a few days. I don't know if I worked up to 2 pills twice a day or not since it was over a year ago. See my posting I just did under treating Bartonella for more ideas. You can ask MP to run a scan for Bartonella and see what the balancers are. See if any are highly rated for bacteria. Love and prayers, Heidi N Heidi, I'm sorry if you've been over this before, but I'm hoping you can share the link where you order your mindlinx and the dose. I have an 18-year-old aspie and cannot rid her OCD with Inositol and/or IP6. Hoping to give this a try. Oh, and also, which supps should I keep it away from?? We're working with MP right now, and doing great things but this darned OCD is relentless :)Thank so very much,
Guest guest
There's a doctor in Austin, TX that actually takes Medicare. He gets lots of gains and uses prescriptions so people don't have to pay so much out of pocket. I think if you go to www.generationrescue.org you will find parents in your local area that can tell you of all the doctors and services in your area and what kind of insurance they take. Much of the treatments most parents use are actually non-prescription, but they can get expensive since one needs so many of them. You are one of the first we have seen to help himself. Many more will be getting older doing what you are doing. Maybe you can help yourself and then be a role model for the many who will be becoming adults who will start doing what you are doing. Love and prayers, Heidi N Well it's obvious nobody else is going to do anything for me.I have never been able to work,I am on SSI because of my autism, and have spent most of my life, being very sick, both from acute infection, which triggered my autism in the first place,or immune problems nobody could explain. For years what I got from doctors was that I was diagnosed with a "mental illness" (autism),and people with mental illnesses make up phony diseases get attention, and that's what doctors thought I was doing. This ended a couple of years ago, when a doctor I was seeing, who walked out of practicing,to head a department at the medical school. He told me something indeed was very wrong with my immune, and endocrine systems, but he had no idea what it was,and I was on my own.A few months later,I had another round of acute meningitis, and an autistic regression that was even worse. The worst since the meningitis that triggered my autism as a baby.I continue to have setbacks, like theone I had last month triggered by another severe lare of acute joint pain, and very high fever.I have finally gotten the message that mainstream medicine is not going to do anything for me,and I am going to see a DAN! doctor. Guest guest
Thanks so very much, Heidi. We have a Zyto with MP on Wed. We've started a few treatments so far on the Bartonella (which has reared its ugly head), but we've been starting low and slow. But, of course, there are so many issues going on with her that we have to focus on the highest stressors. But in the meantime, it's the OCD that seems to bother me the most. hehe Subject: Re: Some PANDAS questionsTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Friday, August 7, 2009, 7:54 PM : Here is Mindlinx: http://www.rockwell nutrition. com/HLC-MindLinx -by-Pharmax- 40NON-Returnable 41-CAPSULES_ p_1458.html I know us adults took at least one pill twice a day. Guest guest
Several symptoms left while taking it, and when it was stopped after a month, the symptoms stayed gone for about 7 months on no probiotics at all. We also took turmeric, cod liver oil and other things. I hope many of you get the same success. Love and prayers, Heidi N So the Mindlinx is helpful with OCD? I just wanted to clarify as I am following this thread. My naturopath told me Friday that Nigel Plummer, creator of Mindlinx, is considered one of the top experts in the world on probiotics. He has been to conferences where Plummer has spoken.Heidi, do you give it for a month than used something else? You said you did a retreatment after 9 months.Nanci
Guest guest
Thanks Heidi. We are taking probiotics on a daily basis for years so I'm looking forward to trying this and if it helps the OCD that's an added benefit. Guest guest
roger you don't have to have a dx of tourettes to have PANDAS, or autism to have it, my youngest is looking like a PANDAS kid and flares at the same time my ASD son does, yet she is NT, and my son DXED with PANDAS doesn't have tics with his flares only the obsessions. so each kid looks different. my aspie friend got the dx because her labs came back showing concistant flares with exposure and numbers staying hi and plumits in skills along with cooping methods OCD and tics with blood numbers rising. she DID have the strep history looking back and the tourettes label with her brother to. so at age 30 she saw our DAN and he dxed her. she has treated with OLE with some success and zithro as well as she is now doing IVIG for treatment. rheumatic fever, pneumonia, meningitis, that sort of stuff has nothing to do with PANDAS, only strep does. hope that helps.
