Guest guest Posted January 3, 2007 Report Share Posted January 3, 2007 Well, just when I thought I had experienced everything there was to experience with this disease along comes something new. Starting yesterday, my legs started swelling. Not too much more than usual but as the day progressed, the swelling became worse. It got so my legs were so heavy that I could not move them. My husband had to use two hands to put them on the foot stool. The pain in my legs is awful. Anyway, I took an extra Lasix and kept them elevated. Had to take pain pills all night long, called the doctor today and he suggested I be put in the hospital immediately and be monitored closely and have IV diuretics etc. I dont want to go to the hospital. Anyway, he said it was part of the pulmonary hypertension and told me what would happen if I just stayed home with my legs elevated. Guess I am really depressed because I said..:Who cares how I die? I am not going to get well anyway". My family is now mad at me cause they think I am acting childish by refusing to go to the hospital again. You know, I am just tired of this whole process. If I am not going to get well anyway, then lets get it over. My thoughts!!! Thanks for listening.
