Guest guest
Well, I am having another exacerbation. Which is ok since we caught it early. This only my second and my first, as some of you remember when I joined the group, was March last year. Pretty good since I know some of you have 2 to 3 a year. 12 months ain't too shabby! I'm looking on the bright side of this, now I have a confirmed dx instead of just a possible. I am scheduled for solumedrol treatments next week with MRI's on Friday next week. Feel sure there are new lesions given my new symptoms this time. I have had some psuedo-exacerbations caused by colds or sinus infections. I consider myself lucky and blessed to have so little problems. This time both sides of my body are affected whereas last year it was just my left. My neuro said my right side will most likely recover fully from the weakness but my left side took a hard hit this time. Hard enough that I went and bought that darn cane. He said my left side will have lingering effects but you all know it's hard to say just how much. He did right my Rx for my handicap placard just in case I have bad days or my left side doesn't really get any better. Even with all this, I still consider myself blessed and I know that God gives me nothing that I can't handle. Last night was my first shot of Avonex. All went well and woke up in a terrible state of aches and pains. Could be the side effects of the shot, however, I have been achey and in pain from this exacerbation. Still, one shot a week vs. 3! I'll take one anyday! Well, that's the latest report on me. Hope everyone else is doing well. Thank you all so much for the keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. I love you all and feel like we are all family. I would do the same for any of you. Lighter note: The secretary for my neuro called to make my appts in front of me. She was talking the MRI lab and told Alice that she had an MS patient that needed a brain and cervical scan because I was in exasperation! I almost fell to the floor laughing! It was all I could do not to! You think working for a neuro that you would know the terminology necessary for that job! Just thought everyone needed a smile!!!!! :-) Tammy, Tx Join Killeen Barter at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/KilleenBarter/ Trade or Barter away those things you don't want anymore!
