The endocrinologist we were seeing is affiliated with Stony Brook Hosp. on

Long Island. The new endocrinologist we will see in April is Dr. Carey from

Schneiders Childrens Hospital. If you areinterested in seeing him, let me

know and i will get the number. i don't have it at hand now. We have never

seen him so I don't know if I like him yet. The girls have never been on Gh.

I am only looking into it now. Diane though does not need it as she is 50th

percentile for height and weight.

Let me know if you want any more info. We usually go into NYC for our care

but I have so far been happy with every one at Schneiders and we are slowly

changing over to them.

thank you for all the info. I am glad to hear that your daughter is doing so

well orally. It sounds as if she transitioned to textures so nicely, not to

say it wasn't alot of hard work on your part. I am so nervous that even if

emma did have her swallow corrected that she will not progress. she is so

stubborn!!!! but i guess i won't know until i try. She feeds herself at

school but not home. we have been working on that and i used to take over

just to get the calories in but now i just let her take what she wants as i

don't seem to be getting too far overall. At least now with the long overdue

swallow study i hope to get done soon, i will finally know if it is

behavioural or physical. She has just begun speaking last year at age six.

It is very exciting but even with that she will only do it when she wants.

Her teachers agree that she is stubborn and speech is one thing that only she

can control so she will hold out if she wants. Some days she will sing and

repeat words after us, other days she is silent.
