Guest guest
I would love to have comments from anyone here regarding these labs, results are not what i expected. after reading on this forum, and books by Dr. Vliet i was almost certain that i would benefit from taking Estrogen (like estrogel). I had been taking BID progesterone (in troches than cream) for the past year and a half and seems the dosage was excessive (according to my reading) and i didnt have baseline labs showing i needed it before starting. My symptoms seem to correlate very well with progesterone excess and/or estrogen difficiency. FYI I'm 36, fairly regular cycle, have my ovaries and uterus...I took the labs on day 21 of my cycle @ 8:30am. I had food around 1 or 2am the night before. (Should i have fasted for 12 hours?) I had stopped progesterone cream one month prior and no other hormones except for T3 (cynomel). **Lab Results (via serum)******* TESTOSTERONE, SERUM *46 ng/dl (range:6-82) FREE TESTOSTERONE(DIRECT) *0.5 pg/ml (range:0.0-2.2) ESTRADIOL *407.9 pg/ml (range: luteal phase 43.8-211.0) ESTRONE, SERUM *120 pg/ml (range: luteal phase 50-114) PROGESTERONE *12.9 ng/ml (range: luteal phase 1.7-27.0) Is it possible that i have high estradiol/estrone circulating in blood but is not usable or getting into the cells because of receptor damage caused by progesterone excess?? I also heard that taking T3 can possibly bind some of your Estrogen. (learned this from yahoo reverse T3 group). I have no idea why progesterone would be at mid range rather than higher. I stopped the prog. cream a month earlier...though i'm still experiencing symptoms. I'm wondering if i can start very low dose of EstroGel, and judge by how i feel? or can i trust that feeling better equals good for me without labs to confirm? Would be so grateful to recieve any comments/reactions, Thank you, Lila
