Actually Robyn - I was looking at some cute hot pink wedge sandals in

Nordstrom yesterday without any ankle straps and I was thinking to

myself thought " Robyn would like those! "

We got Dave great off-the-peg black suit for the funeral plus of course

a white shirt and black tie. It's the first suit he's bought in ten or

so years and I have to say he looks pretty spiffy in it. I've always had

a 'thing' for guys in suits!

Oh noooo, my shoe wardrobe will be unfashionable this Spring!

Who else feels my pain???

Does this take anyone back to the days of Candies and other 70's

versions of (rubber heels or jute-wrapped)wedge-soled shoes? I know

we're supposed to throw out fashions we no longer wear (after a year,

not 30 years, I admit). Still, I swear! Just as soon as we purge our

closets, we see versions of the same styles being strutted down the

runway. Victims of merchandising, we?

BTW, Carol, I share your passion for men in suits. Swoon!

Did you say HOT PINK??

Yes, I want them!!!

I also love a man in a suit. Mr. y looks so adorable in his

airline pilot's uniform. Last Halloween I told him he didn't have to

buy a costume. We could just dress him up in his uniform!! LOL!

Do you have a date as to when you will fly back to England for the

service?

<slack jawed and salivating> a cute guy in an airline pilot's uniform -

grrrrrrrr!

<snapping back into reality> no unfortunately we don't have a date. The

coroner's office still hasn't released the death certificate, in fact we

don't even know if the autopsy has been done yet. :-((

As for throwing our fashions? This reminds me of a couple of years ago when I

read that blue eyeshadow was completely out of fashion, and should be thrown

away forever only to read the next Spring that blue was " totally In " . Oh, I

should quit reading those fashion magazines, but it is so cool to see clothes in

them that I can actually wear, if not afford... :)

As for men in suits... YUM!!!!

<<only to read the next Spring that blue was " totally In " >>

In high school I wore Revlon's China Blue Frost - smack dab on my lower lids.

No blending - nothing. I see those 1970's photos of me and I cringe. The eye

shadow and my wedge hair cute. Yikes!

Oh yeah...and the light pink frosted lipstick to match, right? LOL.

Maybe I was fortunate that I wasn't " allowed " to wear makeup back

then; otherwise, I most assuredly would have had a black bar over my

face on the Glamour " Don'ts " page!

By the way, it's nice to see your photo updates in your file. You are

looking wonderful...and it seems you're feeling well, also. Great

combination of bonuses, thanks to wls! :)

I have the opposite problem…….. I have okay feet and legs….. But I'm

beefy from the hips up. My stomach is big, my darn boobs are still

huge, and I have beefy upper arms.

I can't wear the cute tanks and strapless shirts that are everywhere

this spring. Even if I could I still need to lose more weight before

I would. The boobs and arms are just too big. It wouldn't look right.

Hugs!

Oh my...

Many times I tripped with an arm load of books, on the carpeted halls

of our school... those damned gum soled, wedgie sandals.

LOL I have some chunky black slip on sandals I got a couple of years ago.

Now my feet are thinner so I am afraid to wear them. But they are so darned

cute!

My daughter calls them my spice girl shoes!!
