Guest guest
I had not known this lady or read any of her posts but the news of her death has affected me profoundly today. You see, we are almost the same age, she was on Hospice and I have made the determination that I would begin Hospice services on Jan. 2,2007. I too, have a very high pain tolerance but sometimes wonder if I put up with pain that I could manage with medications. I wonder how long she was on Hospice before she died. I sent a card to her family. I hurt for them but know it has to be good for her not to have to be so out of breath all the time, to not have this dreadful hose in our nose. I am grieving.....for her family, for all of us who have to endure this disease and.......for me. Thanks for listening. Re: sad news RE: Ann This is the last post that I could find that Ann posted. I remember it almost word for word. What courage and strength! No self pity....none. Amazing! I am thankful that God led her here. I am struck with grief, but at the same time my heart is made glad to have known her briefly. She is an inspiration. My prayers go out to her family. My prayers are always with all of you. They pay for comfort meds. and I don't have to go into thedoctor's office any more. I am on morphine which actually "helps"shortness of breath! I never believed I was in much pain, until Iagreed to finally take it. Now feel great, more energy and nodepression. I am on still on oxygen 3L sleep 4 or 5 walking etc.My son's wedding was beautiful and I did fine. Hospice arranged forthe oxygen I needed and I had a wonderful time. My son and I dancedto Elvis's "Memories".Friday the 13th was my 59th birthday and I had a great day as well.I just wanted to say I have a high tolerence to pain and neverbelieved I was in the pain I was in, until I agreed to take themorphine. I take a sleeping pill at night and that helps too. So Iam enjoying quality of life and all God's goodness.I just wanted everyone to know, make the best of every day anddon't worry, put your life in God's hands and relax.I pray for you all daily as you are in my daily thoughts.Everyone take care, Ann IPF 8/03>> Hello all,> > I'm sorry to tell you that Ann passed away on December 14th from this horrible disease. Guest guest
Oh Joyce, Thank you so much for finding her last post. She truly was a yellow rose bringing sunshine to all of us. I am so heartbroken right now but like you so thankful to have known her . I am so glad she made it to her son's wedding and so sad she left before Christmas.
