Guest guest
Good for you Joyce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy those cupboards and the eating out!!! Vicky81856 ••••••••••••• Original Message ••••••••••••• Hi All, I told you that I was getting a kitchen remodel and it is underway. How is a big endeavor like that for having a positive attitude? I decided that I would spend some of MY old age money now because I was not going to have an old age...and if I do...well, I will have nice cabinets to look at! Everything is ripped out of my kitchen. Today the ripping out of soffets, etc. took place and I was put in the back of the house with a tarp in the hallways. The contractor (who is a friend) did a great job of pulling dust out of the house. It is bothering me a little, but not much so far. The rest of this week will be spent on electrical and duct work. Floor on Saturday, then cabinets the first part of next week. The best part is no sink and no stove.....which means no cooking and no dishes. We had Chinese take out today. This is great! A whole week off! My daughters are going to come next weekend and put everything back in cabinets for me. I will have twice as many so it will be so nice. It seems like a dream. Another positive is that I am not having the 'after Christmas' slump. I always get all depressed after Christmas but I am so excited that I forgot to be blue. Guest guest
Joyce, I remember you said you were doing this but I didn't realize you were getting started so soon. Good for you, the sooner it's started, the sooner it's done! What kind of cabinets did you pick? A kitchen remodel is so satisfying when it's done! Just stay clear of the dust and debris as much as possible. I'm so happy for you!! Beth Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Don't try to explain it, just nod your head. Breathe in, breathe out. Move on. J. Guest guest
Peggy, I got oak mission style cabinets, some with windowpane glass front. I have distressed oak table and chairs that are only a couple of years old.... so it should look good. Getting Maytag dishwasher and microwave. Have a 2 year old stove and fridge...so it will all be pretty new. Wow, I have wanted this all my life...but college to pay for....bills....family calamaties....health calamaties...it just never happened....this is a real treat. >> Oh Joyce, I know you are excited. just don't breath to deep.. did the> kitchen two years before we sold our home in Tampa.
