Laurel _______ Comment from user: My doctor wants to start me on the Wiley Protocol and I am doing due diligence first. ___________ I've likely said this before on these intros but it might be worth repeating. The archives are full of women who did the WP and got sick. The majority of them are clumped back at the start of the archives in the spring of '05. The group started in Oct '04. Wiley visited Port Townsend and we had a WP support group meeting. From that and subsequent discussion a very clear and specific understanding was made available to everyone on the group as to what constituted the WP. The members followed the recommendations. Many had practitioners that told us to talk to Wiley directly. We used her product, followed instructions exactly and got sicker and sicker. Negative results were simply explained away and blamed on 'bad product' or some herb a woman was taking. Always it was something else, never the dosing on the protocol. Some members thought it might be the toxins in the delivery cream so they tried olive oil as a delivery method as a LAST effort to make the protocol work. A WP sufferer that arrived on the group a year later told me she went on the WP in spite of seeing RhythmiLiving because Wiley told her the RL women were all using olive oil and never did the protocol. In May '05 I talked to Dr. Formby and learned that the dosing on the WP was so exceedingly high that scientists wouldn't be able to test that ratio on animal models as it would be considered animal abuse, " we would never get authorization " with no justifiable reason for overdosing. That's when I learned that the pharmacists that said, " I won't compound the WP, it's toxic. " were right and not being over fuddy duddy. I've found hormones to be amazing. But, better to dose for your body specifically rather than based on someone's " thought experiment " when there is financial incentive to avoid the push back of reality. Maybe when your doc is talking WP he/she means rhythmic dosing in general and not the over the top dosing of the WP with progesterone levels, that according to Dr. Formby, build up in the tissues.
