Let's keep our fingers crossed that this adenoma in my thyroid is not cancer. Bill, you know that is what the neurologist said to me about my unknown disorder, it's not like it's cancer and I told her, yea, but this lump in my throat could be. I thought it was sort of flippant of her. It's okay for us to say it but for the dr to say it makes you feel like they don't realize how much this effects your life in Texas Test on Thyroid for cancer 4/5 and 4/6 2007MS-Bill wrote: I have to say one thing I am a little happy about having MS is that it is not a deadly disease like cancer which can be un predictable. Hey, in Texas; I come from Michigan, and I can cross my fingers and my toes,

and hold my nose--all at once--which goes a long way toward explaining my odd typing.

Fingers firmly crossed for you and your thyroid. My eldest sister had cancer of the

Thyroid gland; it was totally removed when she was about 29, and she took thyroid for

many decades--lived to nearly 80 (nocf); she always blamed its removal for her greying

hair, which started the same year; she died her hair, a simpler solution. I do not remem

ber whether the parathyroids were effected, but I do remember her as lovely, slender and

MUCH shorter than am I. Love to you, in Texas from me in California,

The Rapidly Progressive form can certainly be deadly, alas, but is the most rare form of

our disease. I tried to send a link on this but it failed. I will send it to the list if it does

pop up. Cheers, as usual, nonetheless; MS is a challenge for me, but liveable with!

The Rapidly Progressive form of MS certainly can be deadly; I have a friend, daughter of

one of my friends, who is going through this now, at 41. Love to you, Bill and keep doing

as well as you can!

It does seem over the years since I have met more who have MS it seems like many who have MS also have other medical troubles to go with it. My diabetes is one of them.

Bill, I have to agree with you. I could have something so much worse!!!!! At least I can still walk (most days) and talk and see. There are so many things to be thank-ful for. Just kind of depressing when I know what all I use to do and can't anymore.
