Provigil works!

I felt so ALERT yesterday. I finally took the Provigil like the neurologist ordered-- 100 mg. at 8 a.m. and 100 mg. at 12 noon. I felt so hyped up. I didn't sleep. In fact, I went shopping in the afternoon with my DIL and two granddaughters to shop for their First Communion dresses. We found two beautiful dresses and my DIL only paid $49 each for them. We were expecting to pay $100 each. We went to Burlington Coat Factory and they had a huge selection of dresses. I never knew they were a complete store--I thought just coats. It's a large store without riding carts so I walked with a grocery type cart. Then we stopped at Petsmart to get some fish and the girls each got another hermit crab. After all that walking I still came home and cooked dinner for the family. I didn't eat though because I was too tired at that point. I got up during the night to go to the bathroom and I had a hard time walking because my left hip and leg didn't want to work. At that time I thought I would be using my walker today. But I woke up at 5:20 or so and my legs/hips were working fine. I've been sleeping until 7 or 7:30 every morning so the Provigil is still working on me from yesterday. I didn't go to sleep until midnight and was up at 5. So that's not good. I don't know what to do with the Provigil. Keep taking it as ordered? Or maybe take a half a pill at noon? What do you Provigil folks think?I hear others up now. I didn't want to go out and make coffee and wake the rest of the family so early so I've been sitting at the computer, looking on ebay and watching the Mourning Doves out my window. I throw leftover bread and bird seed on the ground outside my window for the birds. The Mourning Doves and the little House Finches are very busy this morning.Tell me what you think about the Provigil?Sharon

Sharon, glad you had such a fun and productive day. I take just 1-100 mg pill about 9-10 depending on when I wake up. I don't take a second pill. That's too much for me. Hi Cassy:I do have weakness but not all the time. When I get hot I fall apart and my legs won't hold me up. So far, so good with the Provigil. Maybe yesterday was so good because it was the first day on the med the way the doc said. Medications tend to wear off for me and I often need more to get the same effect. Sharon Re: Provigil works! Hey Sharon~That seems to happen to me as well; I found that with the effexor I was on; it began not working, not helping with my depression in any way. Funny isn't it? And annoying as well!

I'm taking 100 mg. at 8 a.m. and 100 mg. at noon, per the neuro's orders. Yesterday was the first day taking it like he said so I can't give much info on the sleep part. I didn't go to bed until midnight but then I've been staying up until 11:30 most nights anyway. I did wake up at 5 though. I've been sleeping until 7 or 7:30. I slept well. I woke up once to go to the bathroom (normal) and looked at the clock several times during the night (also normal). My jaw was aching yesterday from the Trigeminal Neuralgia so I had some pain from that and some jaw popping but I still slept as normal. I was very talkative yesterday. That's not normal ;) but today I don't feel like that and I don't

feel fidgety. Sharon Re: Provigil works! When are you taking it and how much? Is your sleep calm or are you fidgety. in TexasSharon Marsden <wobbletowalk@ yahoo.com> wrote: I felt so ALERT yesterday. Me too, I am going to call the office and see if I can just get him to order it without seeing me, I hate going in cause it costs so much and waiting in the office is uncomfortable for me. I want that energy back so much, I want to just want, to do things again, I have never been a just sit there person and thats what makes me depressed. I hate running out of steam by the early part of the day, I want to be able to get it all done and still feel like holding my head up at dinner, Trista wrote: Your post has me excited!
