I'm not sure what your friend should do exactly, but if there's a

Deaf/Blind program in the area, check it out, they could have some

great methods for dealing with this & many other issues.

The combination of vision & hearing impairments makes things

difficult for kids in so many ways that we can't understand unless

we're " in their shoes " ... I just found the Deaf/Blind program in my

state, to get help with my daughter's education... they can be a huge

help in many ways!
