> Merry Christmas and Season's greetings to you and your family, we

wish you good health and prosperity thought the New Year. and I

hope you have a great holiday season. We have been busy decorating

the house and lighting the nineteen bushes around our home. We had

65-degree weather when we did the bushes; two days later we had 11 "

of snow.

> As always says " We are still Kicking just not as

high " . and I stayed out of the hospital this year but I can't

say that for other family members. Kathleen (Dars mom) had knee

replacement November of last year so we helped her recuperate. She

also had surgery for Diverticulitis in November of this year so we

again helped. My brother Dick fell and crushed his elbow. Do to his

Rheumatoid Arthritis problem, they gave him a new elbow, during that

time we house sat with him for a few days till got out of

school for the summer. Kristi our baby girl, now twenty-six, spent a

week in the hospital for Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome because of

her Invitro Fertilization. She stayed with us after getting out, as

Chad had to go back to work. It was nice having her around the house

again, but not when she was feeling so bad.

> 's Pulmonary Fibrosis has stayed about the same.

Doesn't seem like he has been on oxygen 24/7 for two and a half

years. Had to replace R2D2, (his concentrator) with a new one that

goes up to 10 Liters per minute as the old one only went to 5 LPM.

So we now have R3D3 moaning and groining in the kitchen 24/7. He

broke a rib just coughing so he had to wear a chest wrap for about a

month, thanks to being on Prednisone. I am in pretty good health so

far.

> With both of us retired I can't say we strayed to far

for home. If you drew a fifty-mile radius around our house that

would include the Quad cities and Kristi's house in Peoria area we

didn't travel to far. Except trips to Dick's house in Normal, and

one trip to Iowa city's Doctors. We did manage to get to a few car

shows on the good weather weekends. The old 1972 Cutlass still wins

trophies. putters around the house as much as he can to keep

busy between a few naps and breaks to get his air back. He has

started a new hobby. He is making wind chimes. It is fun for him to

go to the basement shop and electronically tune the metal tubes to

ring at a certain note. He still has a few to make before

Christmas. We do get out to together to Pulmonary Rehab exercise

about three days a week. We both work out on the treadmills and

bicycles. Some days our only exercise is pulling the leveler on our

recliners and getting our youngest cat to chase the laser

> pointer. Our two older cats know better than to chase a little

red light. They know the sound of the lazy boy going up and that it

is time for a nap.

> Merry Christmas to all and hopes for a safe and Happy

New Year. and Darlyn jp115@...
