Ultrasound Medicare

Dear List,

My question is re: Physical Therapy Ultrasound (97035) in the treatment of

wounds. Outpatient services from a Critical Access Hospital. Is there a

specific prohibition in billing this to Medicare? I can't find one. We want to

code correctly. The wound was not getting better, but began to improve with US.

So it was good for patient just not sure on billing.

I have searched the list archives to 1999, Federal Register (little success),

Medline, Medscape, and CPT Book. I found a summary of mixed results for

effectiveness, but nothing else.

I appreciate any references. Have spent many hours already.
