Guest guest
Can someone help me undersdtand if my AF is is vagal or adrenal? I have always thought it was vagal as it always used to start up bad when I lie down to go to bed. It also happens when I am resting. However, I have noticed that recently it also happens when I am nervous or angry about something, eg some one elses driving, when I have a row with my husband, political events in the world today and the most recently noticed one is strenous walking (up a steep hill). What got to me was that by bending over it got a bit better. Now in times past this used to cause it to happen. This has unerved me a bit. Because I am quite an active person. I know that AF begets AF (supposedly), but am thinking if it was the effect of the vagus nerve then it shouldn't be happening at these other times. Is it possible for vagal AF to get worse and then start happening with adreniline rushes? Or could it be the effect of the medication I am now on (atenolol). I didn't pass the stress test 6 months ago on sotalol, but as far as I was concerned this was a one off. Now I am not so sure. Sorry if this is confusing.
