Guest guest
Has anyone tried Vit E as a preventative of AF? I recently was told to take 1200-1600 IU of Vit E aday for another medical (not heart related) problem and since I started, I have been AF free.It has only been 3 weeks but usually I go into AF every 10-14 days for a day or two. I have had some palpitations that I thought were the usual start of AF, but I stayed in normal SR. I know it probably is a coincidence...and I will likely have an episode as soon as I exercise today...but here's hoping!! Happy New Year to all! Guest guest
Be careful of Vitamin E and Coumadin. Guest guest
Hi, I am a newbie to AF and to this board. I do know that Vita E is a good blood thinner. In fact, part of my treatment is to take Coumadin, so my doc says stay away from E. I still take it, regardless, because of its other benefits as an antioxidant. You say that exercise triggers AF? I find that when I take my walks, which are not all that strenuous, I get an occasional thud thud... is that AF? I am so confused with this stuff and my doctor seems so rushed, I am grasping at straws here in an attempt to understand it all. Does anybody know how this stuff gets started in the first place. Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------------- << Has anyone tried Vit E as a preventative of AF?
