Guest guest
Good Morning Fran: I still have that large brown itchy patch on my back. It's not quite as itchy as it had been. I have had six (6) unsuccessful cardioversions, and it appeared after the first one. That was in the Spring of last year and needless to say I have seen numerous physicians and not one had an explanation for it - not even the EPs at Duke. Over the past year and half I was very concerned about it - I have seen two Dermatologist that assured me it was not cancer. It was, however, suggested that it could have come from sort of *ground* that was used when going through the cardioversion proceedure....but who knows? Like so many other symptoms, etc. of the this nasty ailment.....it's a puzzle! And similar to taking Dofetilide, I may grown two (2) heads somewhere down the line - right ? <g> Stay well, Ellen 68 NC ********************** itchy brown marks on back > I was going through the polls and saw that there was a closed poll > about itchy brown marks on the back or chest. Guest guest
Had 3 on my back, and they itched all the time, and one grew a little head, but soft and like a flap. the Dr had a long name for them, but just sprayed liquid freeze on them, and within 2 weeks, they had all changed to pink skin. One of the little brown dots fell off, inside my shirt, and was jsut a small pice of skin walt itchy brown marks on back I was going through the polls and saw that there was a closed poll about itchy brown marks on the back or chest. I think it was from Ellen (but then I might be wrong). I have these on my back. I have four of them and one is forming at the moment. It sounds strange but from time to time, it feels like a single hair being pulled, and the skin is growing thicker and going brown. They can get very itchy. Are these connected? I can't see why. Dr told me it was a virus, like warts. Fran
Guest guest
re brown areas on back. If I remember correctly, the people who first reported this described the ones associated with cardioversion as being shaped like the paddles, so I assume they were large. Of course, I have no idea if cardioversion equipment differs from place to place, and hence the mark size and shape. If it's a smaller mark and the dermatologist okays it, it I would suggest freezing them off too. Why put up with something you don;t have to.
