Guest guest
Leanne, Barbara R here. I do beleive that the weather has something to do with the way we breath. When it turns cold here in MS it gets harder for me to breath. Of course the weather here changes so often that it is hard to keep up with it. I have been pretty much under the weather for the past 3 weeks and man do I feel curdy. Your empty tanks could be because they aren't filling them up at the fill up place. I got 4 in a row one time that didn't have anything in them and when I told the girl that is the office manager where I get my O2 her reply was well that happens sometimes. Well it shouldn't and I let her know how I felt. Come to find out the guy they had filling up the tanks wasn't doing his job and was sending out empty tanks marked as full ones. I keep my tanks in the garage or on my front porch and that has never seemed to make a difference. The only thing that has ever caused a problem with was my conserving divice and one time it started breathing when I wasn't. I had to get another one really fast. You take care of you and stay out of the cold and snow as much as possible. Hugs and Prayers! Barbara R IPF 1/2003>> Hi everybody,> > I feel terrible today. It started coming on yesterday - all I want to do is sleep. I'm hot and I'm cold, my chest hurts and my breathing sucks. Beth, is there any truth to this barometric stuff? It makes me crazy that there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when you feel good or bad. I went to the grocery store today and like a good girl I brought an extra tank with me. The truth is I don't know if the barometric pressure has anything to do with how we feel. Especially when it's a dramatic change like yesterday when the temp went from 70 to 30 in a matter of a couple of hours. It also seems that it takes me about a day or so to adjust to the change and then I start to feel better. I felt ok this morning, now this afternoon, I'm beat again and I didn't do much of anything but bake cookies for my son and mail them out. It is extremely frustrating that our ups and downs are so unpredictable. I hate making plans and looking forward to doing something and then not being able to do it cause I just feel like poop. I don't think the colder temps should make a difference in weather the tanks stay full. The delivery truck is cold and they ride around in that all day long and while the warehouses are probably insulated they're probably not much warmer than your garage, right? I would call your O2 supplier on Monday and complain. Something like that is downright dangerous. Wish I could bring you some soup and we could curl up on the couch and watch tv together! Guest guest
Leanne; You don't know when to slow down. You work full time do all kinds of other stuff around the house etc.. You come in contact with a lot of people, many of whom don't realize that walking around sick can be very detremental to other people. Now just get the sleep that your body is telling you you need. Enjoy it. God bless. Gordon ipf/uip 12/03 feeling like.... Hi everybody, I feel terrible today. It started coming on yesterday - all I want to do is sleep. Guest guest
Weather changes affect my breathing, also. High humidity and cold are the worst! It is going to be 20 degrees in the morning for church. Car is in the garage and my husband pulls right to the door at church....thank God. I also have gotten empty tanks and for awhile I was getting half full tanks. Lazy people work everywhere. I panic when I realize I am out of air and that only makes it worse. I don't like to draw attention to myself so I fake it till I get on 02 and that is just stupid on my part. I should actually admit that it is an emergency and ask for help. Someone would go get a tank from our car...especially if we were blocking the check out line!!! Feel better tomorrow, Leanne....or just goof off and lay around in your pj's. You deserve a sick day! Guest guest
Thank you guys for your concern. I don't know what was up, but now I'm starting to feel like myself again. Maybe the barometric pressure is changing again....Sher, I did the same thing you did, just took it easy and napped off and on. I'm no good at being sick. I'm lucky in that I'm pretty healthy outside of my stupid lungs. I don't get sick. No colds. No flu. No respiratory stuff. Maybe it was a 24 hour bug of some sort. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
