Guest guest
Okay, I'm no expert, but I would say that if the laughter is appropriate - at appropriate times, such as making faces in the mirror - this is a good sign. Especially since it has coincided with other positive behaviors. When my son's yeast is high he laughs uncontrollably for no reason at all, and sometimes even wakes up in the night laughing. Hi,I am still new to the group and have found a wealth of information already. I wanted to ask your advise. My son suddenly has been laughing which are so delighted he is showing a reaction and seems to be very happy. I am concerned though because I just want to make sure there is noithing underlining with it. Has anybody experienced this? We just finished 30 rounds of hard chamber. What we have noticed from doing the hard chamber is that my son is eating a little less at one sitting and more frequently (usually in the past he would eat a huge amount of food. He is still very skinny and only weighs 40 lbs at age 7 -just turned 7. He has major gut issues too). We also have seen for the first time he is engaged in t.v. after doing the hbot, which are so greatful for as we saw he was laughing at very appropriate times. When he laughs he does make sounds and sometime will look at himself at my mirrored wall and make even louder sounds. I don't know if I am making more out of this but just concerned there may be something else going on?? Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you, Bernice
Guest guest
Thank you for your response. Since my son has been all over the place with this uncontrolable laughter it seems to me now there is definitely something underlying. I could only comment on the good things but couldn't put my finger on all the other times where there was noithing related to spark the laughter. It seems like from the post yeast may be an issue so thanks for the comments. Guest guest
Hi, I don't know a lot but from what you have said it sounds like positive gains with the laughter. Looking in the mirror seems like he is interested in this " new " feeling and what it looks like, also when he makes louder sounds it could be just experimenting with facial expressions. My sister is MR since birth (due to a hypoxic brain injury) and has been on the GFCF since 1966. My parents had lots of success with the Doman program from Philadelphia where they used oxygen treatments as well. She looks in the mirror at times when she laughs. She says it is to check on her expressions. Sometimes she can't tell what her face is doing so she checks it out. She also said she copies what people say as a tool to communicate better. She told me that she will hear or see something great and when the appropriate time comes she might use it and sometimes she practices for those moments in the mirror. Maybe that is what he is doing? Just checking out what he looks like and modifying it for future use? My 2 1/2 year old ASD son has inappropriate laughter when he eats foods high in phenols. After we went on the Feingold diet along with the GFCF he no longer wakes at night laughing, has loud public laughter for no reason, or has that drunk look of red face and ears. We cut out all dark fruits such as berries and apples. He eats mostly pears, mangos and some light colored melon. We cut out bananas too. I am slowly trying to reintroduce some green apples with No-Phenol enzymes but he isn't ready for that yet. BTW, fresh cut grass is also VERY high in phenols and can take my son's language away from him for a couple of hours along with a red face and the giggles. It is so weird, he could walk near or across some fresh cut grass and presto-chango! His face gets red, ears get red and he slows down and stops talking and hello giggle-puss. He only has about 100 words in 2 word phrases since last month (3 mos into the GFCF), so losing the language is really scary. I thought it might have been pesticides on the grass, but after some reading I found out about the phenol content in the grass. Maybe as his system gets less toxic he will be able to handle the grass. We just got his stool tests back and he is a GIANT yeast ball with LOTS of bacteria (C.Diff) yuk. That would explain the smell and the smooshy poop. So, off to fight that. Can't wait to do HBOT. One step at a time. So far so good. Good luck, he sounds like a doll. PS: I agree with the other person that yeast could be a factor as well. Have a great Sunday. > > > > > > > Hi, > > I am still new to the group and have found a wealth of information already. > > I wanted to ask your advise. Guest guest
Thank you all so much. A lot of the stuff you all mention make so much sense to me now. I also forgot to mention that his poop is very, very stinky. We have been doing biomedical stuff for so long and his poop has been like that since 2 years of age That I forgot to mention it. His poop has gone through being formed, not formed, smooshy, color changes, etc, but alsways stinky and sometimes more so than others that we just know he is a kid with a lot of stuff going on that it is just going to take time. We saw different changes with NAET as well when we did it back two years ago for one year. We also are going to be doing the NACD and are scheduled for an appt the end of July so I will gladly share our findings and hopefully much success. Thank you all so much! Thank you, > Bernice > Bernice, HBOT hard chamber can cause blood sugar drops. Meaning that you will need to feed him prior to going or he could crash. When my daughter laughs uncontrollably, I really believe it is yeast. She loves, loves, loves the mirror! BTW, we just completed 120 hard dives and she has lost 33 pounds. SHe needed too. You can up the GSE, caprylic acid, & change prescription anti-fungals. JMO. Shanna
Guest guest
I'm glad that you've seen incredible improvements. Have you addressed yeast/fungus issues yet? Yeast/fungus can make them incredibly giddy. > > Hi, > I am still new to the group and have found a wealth of information already. I wanted to ask your advise. Guest guest
My child is now 6, but had an almost complete loss of skills at age 4. In the early days, we observed uncontrollable laughter. Hard chamber HBOT kills aneorobic bacteria including yeast and clostridia. The stinky poop is due to a detox / removal of these organisims. We found it was helpful to supplement with additional antioxidants during HBOT. Liposomal GHS on an empty stomach (see New Beginnings Nutritionals) and/or Vitamic C (e.g. electro-C). see this link for HBOT protocol used: http://tinyurl.com/Will-Medications --penumbra >>>>much sense to me now. I also forgot to mention that his poop is very, very stinky.
