Guest guest
Hello, I made a call to Medicare today to inquire about obtaining a provider number. They asked if it would be based on my social security number or if it would be an incorporated or LLC company. It appears there are two different ways to obtain a provider number. Can anyone tell me pros and cons of each way? What if the practice ever got sued, does it make a difference? Without having any knowledge in this area, it seems likely that having a LLC might be a better way to go? Our vision would ultimately be to offer OT services in the clinic and possibly outpatient therapy in the patients home as well. Thanks!
