Sher, Thanks for the card it is beautiful and just what I needed after the news I received at the Pulmo today. He said to enjoy this Christmas because it will proberly be my last. He is putting me on liquid O2 and told me to get my affairs in order. I am not giving up and I am not going to let this set back get me down. At least I hope I don't. Just keep praying for all of us because we all need it. Thanks again for the beautiful card.

Barbara...I can only imagine how hard it must be to hear a Dr. say this may be your last Christmas. Well, it may be and it may not be. We know only God knows the day and time.

I hope getting your affairs in order will bring a sense of peace with it. There are no words of comfort. Your reality is tough. I'm sorry. I will where you are one day.

Barbara,

Well it may be your last Christmas and it may not. It might be the doctor's last Christmas and it may not. We know not the day, nor the hour and that's as it should be. I'm sure his intentions are good and he wants you to be as prepared as possible for what he believes comes next but the Father has our days numbered not our doctors.

I remember about 7 months ago about 2 weeks before I was hospitalized, I was sick with what I had been told was bronchitis. I was trying to sleep in the recliner, it was about 3 in the morning and I suddenly had the oddest sensation of being separate from my body. I felt as though I could "let go" of my body. Needless to say I didn't. I actually got very anxious which probably increased my respiratory rate and the feeling passed. It wasn't my time. God's not done with me yet, I still have something to do here before I can go home. So do you or you wouldn't still be here. Be at peace Barbara and accept each day for the gift that it is... Get your affairs in order, then forget about it and enjoy LIVING!!!!

Beth, Thank you for the encouraging words. I have had my affairs in order for a while now, and I praise God each day for the ability to get out of bed and do what little I can. Some days I can do more than others, and that is ok. I will take what I can. I have always beleived that if life gives you lemons you make lemonade out of them. I know that I will not leave this world one min before or one min after God is ready for me. I am just grateful that I have all of you wonderful people to talk to. You are all great and have become a life line for me and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Sher, Thanks friend. You and everyone are so good and kind. I have peace about the whole thing, because I know that God is in control of all. I knew that one day I would be hearing those words and coming from my doc it wasn't bad. He is a good guy and I knows that he cares. I am not going to mention this to my children until after the Christmas Holydays are over.

I remember when my doctor told me to get my affairs in order, that I was in the "end Stage" and to seriously consider Hospice services. That was two months ago. I KNOW all the feelings you go through. I am still trying to sort through all of this, trying to not be so scared and to face reality. My doctor is very matter of fact...but he also said it was hard for him to tell me that because his job is to get people better and that he just could not help me anymore. He did promise me that I would not have to "suffer " (whatever that means). Sometimes I wish he had never told me all of this. I get too scared everytime I start gasping for breath. I think that it is a cycle. It is hard to breathe so I get panicky and then it gets harder to breathe. Anyway, just know that I really do know. And dit is so hard for me during the holidays. I have no advice for you, I need advice for me. Just complete empathy. I hope today is a good day for you.
