Hi! I'm back! This has certainly been a very hard time in my life, but also a very rewarding time as well. First of all, I'd like to welcome all the new members who have joined while I was away. I'm sure, I don't have to tell you that you've joined, what I think is one of the greatest groups ever. I hope you find everything you are looking for. Yesterday, my patience finally was finally rewarded. I am now Mrs. Lieutenant T.S. Lee!! Can I get a WHOOT, WHOOT!!? I am very happy. An update on the MS status. I don't remember if I said anything about seeing my new neuro. He decided that since my memory is so poor, and I keep forgetting to take my shots, to put me on Avonex. I decided that I'm just too afraid of needles to actually self-inject. Not to mention, that without an auto-injector, I can't muster up the nerve to watch as a plunge a 1" needle into my leg. Sooo...now I have given myself a new dilemma. At this point, I'd really rather be on the Rebif. (If I could only remember to take my shots.) Remember me telling you all about the new grandie? Well, he's 8 weeks old now. It has really been touch and go with him. He's been released from the hospital, but has since had two really bad scares. Had to be admitted twice because he stops breathing. The doctors don't really know what's going on. He is out of the hospital now, but has to be kept on a monitor. It alerts mommy and daddy, should the little one stop breathing while sleeping. He's such a tiny little baby. He's 8 weeks, but as small as a newborn. He has lost weight and weighs in at 5lbs. 15oz. now. Of course, being married now, I have moved back home. But, we have been approved by the bank for a new house and 2 acres of land! Wheeee! It's a beautiful brand new home on some fabulous land. I really can't wait to get moving. We're working on getting the septic/sewer, electric and HVAC connected. And the closing. I'll send some pics soon. I really think that starting new and fresh is just what I need right now. I am just so thankful to God for bring all of this about. Giving it all to HIM has really paid out. I'll not be taking this new and exciting change in my life for granted. It's so good to be back. I really missed all of you. Guest guest
Too many nested levels means that there are tooooooooo many replies to replies to replies to replies etc.. When you hit the reply button, you all need to edit the reply and take out pretty much so ALL of the previous stuff, except the thing to which you are replying. I've actually had to start reading my email online instead of through Thunderbird because there are some message in excess of 600 kilobytes in size, and my thunderbird is set to truncate anything over 50 kilobytes. Here's the technical lesson for the day... [so you can say you've learned something new if you're not a computer geek like me] Keep in mind that a computer " thinks " in binary. Which actually means it uses only 0's and 1's for all processes. Regardless of the " high level " computer language in which a computer program is written, it all gets translated into zeros and ones so that the computer is able to understand. Now it takes 8 bits to make 1 byte, and 1 bytes is actually equal to 1 character in people language. For example: To a computer the sentence " Have a nice day " looks something like this, except it's all run together, with a space between each group of 8 bits (group of zeros and ones) 01001000 01100001 01110110 01100101 01100001 01101110 01101001 01100011 01100101 01100100 01100001 01111001 But actually in all reality, or so my programming instructors explained (and I think it was more for our ability to read, rather than the computers.. I think the computer actually runs them all together with NO spaces.. [it can count the groups somehow] upper case H = 0100 1000 lower case a = 0110 0001 lower case v = 0111 0110 lower case e = 0110 0101 That explanation, I hope, will help you understand what comes next.. The upper case H being 0100 1000 is 8 bits, which is equal to 1 byte. A kilobyte equals 1,064 bytes (or 1,064 characters) 600 kilobytes then equals 638,400 bytes (or 638,400 characters) 638,400 characters actually equals a small book. NESTING.... now it gets to be even more fun.... this is sort of what nesting looks like [ORIGINAL MESSAGE IS HERE] [REPLY TO ORIGINAL MESSAGE IS HERE] [REPLY TO THE REPLY OF THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE IS HERE] [ANOTHER REPLY TO THE REPLY OF THE REPLY....OF THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE IS HERE] Once you've reached the limit of nesting that the anti-virus can scan, you will receive the message about too many nested levels.... What it all amounts to, though, is this... When you reply to a message.. take a few extra seconds to start at the bottom or the message and delete everything that doesn't pertain to that which you are replying. All those yahoo ads added to the tail end of a message, get added to each reply sent.. though you might not always see them... Hope this help a bit.... |)onna > > I keep getting this from your email and not any other email from the group and > I want to see if others get this also. > Bill > From: Akiba > This message has been processed by Symantec's AntiVirus Technology. > > Unknown00000000. data was not scanned for viruses because too many nested > levels of files were found. > > For more information on antivirus tips and technology, visit > http://ses.symantec .com/ She might need her virus scan program updated. Guest guest
I just read it. WOW Donna! You know your brain is a scary place? How do you fit all that in there? I know it would all be seeping out of the holes... Still, running a virus scan is probably overdue...I haven't run one is a couple of weeks...going to so a spyware, too, clean up the old bird... Guest guest
Donna, When I was recently researching the MonSter, thinking only recently that I may have it, I saw somewhere that you can't have both MS and Alzheimer's. Runs in my family, too. So, do you want to be frustrated and with it, or not frustrated and out of it?Suedonnaisalwayz@... wrote: |)onnaP.S.... I think someone once told me though that I had a memory like an elephant.. sure hope that's true.... However, when the book "The 27 hour day" was suggested reading material (when my mother was alive and was having a particularly severe "episode" (as I like to call them) with her Alzheimer's... ) I read it.. and among the other things that I learned from that book, was the fact that Alzheimers cause you to "lose things" in the reverse order that you found them. ... Like... you learned how to feed yourself before you learned how to talk (in comparable sentences more or less)... Well I figure it this way... My mother had Alzheimer's, her mother had Alzheimer's and I'd pretty much be willing to bet that it went on back the line.. So the likelihood of my developing Alzheimer's is pretty good... So if I can CRAM every tiny bit of information into my brain that will possibly fit in there somewhere... that's more that I have to lose before I become completely dependent on someone else for my care... Well that's my theory anyway... Now I'm really gone.. Laterz - It's here! Your new message!Get new email alerts with the free Yahoo! Toolbar. Guest guest
Akiba, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I only recently became a dog owner, and I never imagined how attached and close I would become. I have a nine month old chihuahua, and I forget sometimes that she is an animal. My kids and I jokingly say that if she could talk we would all be in trouble because we tell her all of our secrets. It's amazing how she knows when one of us needs some special attention and she just clings to us and acts all sweet and cute until we do actually feel better. I dread the day...... ~LD Re: Hello Everyone! Guest guest
Donna said it's from not trimming posts. Isn't that what Donna said? Sometimes there are so many little smilies, graphics and such in our posts and I wonder if that's part of the problem. What it's saying is the email can't be scanned by Yahoo's virus protection.
