Guest guest
Hi, April My sister, Joyce, was on Aricept for about a year and it did a number on her. Her hallucinations were horrible and she sat around and cried night and day, begging to go to the hospital. This was before she went into the Memory Unit at Wesley Woods. This led to her husband admitting her to Wesley Woods. He kept her at home and took care of her as long as he possibly could. He has had 2 light strokes and had a mild heart attack and had a stint put in. His health situation is the main reason that I am so involved in Joyce's care. They have one daughter who is so sweet and loves her Mom very much. However, she has always been sheltered so she is just scared, worried, and doesn't know what to do. Anyway, we changed doctors and he immediately took her off Aricept and she has done fairly well. At least, the hallucinations stopped and she smiles again. She is on 100 mg. of Zoloft but she has been on Zoloft for about three years. Thinking of you - from another Georgia Peach. Blessings, June Keeble
