Welcome to the group. Are you also doing gf/cf diet too.? Kind Regards.. Parveen WarisFrom: Psych PI <psych_pi>Subject: Newbie hereTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Sunday, 29 March, 2009, 6:55 AMHello everyone! I'm new to autism and biomed, but we're making great progress. We adopted a ten-year-old little boy with moderate autism, primarily non-verbal a few months ago. His autism was regressive and started at 2 1/2.We had read all about biomed thanks to wonderful forums such as this one and learned all we could. We started CLO and Super Nu right away, adding enzymes and probitics not long after. We use enzymes instead of the GF/CF. Our first big wow was about two weeks after curcumin. After the initial regression (which was a nightmare) our son was suddenly potty trained (At 10!!!!), can now dress himself, bathe himself, and he is more aware and focused. He also started saying more words when prompted. We then tried an over-the-counter nasal MB12 because I wanted to 1) see if it would work before getting a prescription and 2) get ammunition to convince our pediatrician to try it.He was an INSTANT responder (thank you Mr. Kurtz!) and we were able to convince our pediatrician to give us the prescription. We've been on nasal MB12 for two weeks now and our son is talking up a storm. He's saying things spontaneously and appropriately that we didn't know he knew! He's aware of everything going on around him, more independent, more engaging, more focused, it's nothing short of miraculous. Every day he's getting better and we just can't believe it. I'm not sure if our doctor messed up, though, he gave us a prescription at 25 mg/ml. Isn't that the concentration for the shots where the nasal is 12.5 mg/ml? There's no folinic acid added.I cannot wait to share with everyone here and learn even more. Jumping into the world of autism with a ten-year-old was very scary, but it has been a wonderful journey so far and I cannot wait to see what is coming up next. I truly believe this little guy is on his way to recovery, and I felt that he would be before we ever started the first biomedical treatment. I have learned...autism makes you appreciate the little things you took for granted before. I get so excited over every small step forward!Sorry so long, just wanted to say hello and I'm grateful for those of you who have shared your experiences, trials, errors, and success so that those of us (like me) who are new to this don't feel so lost and alone. Because of boards like this I knew exactly what to do, and that's what gave us the courage to adopt a child with autism. Thank you. Ed and Luz Zabinzabin.luzed@...Directly from the Red Barn!
