Wow, Gretel this is great. Pulmonary Fibrosis is getting more notoriety as of late. Here are the locations of the eleven centers in the National Network: University of Michigan UCSF University of Colorado/National Jewish Tulane Weill Cornell University of Washington UCLA Emory Mayo Vanderbilt University of Chicago Duke University will be the data coordinating center. They've been working on this for a couple of years. Last I heard everything should be in place by January 2008. We will have better data collecting with these centers and then we will get better statistics and then get more research money. Washington is beginning to take notice. Leanne uip 1/03Gretel Hines

California. I don't know why Boxer sent 2, one addressed to me and another to my husband and myself. It's mostly very general, IPF was not mentioned, but she's working with NIH to get more money. Rohrbacher, on the other hand, was specific: "..for fiscal year of 2007, the president allocated $2.95 billion to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute which is part of NIH( National Institute of Health). Additionally, you may be interested to learn that NIH is going to spend $15 million to establish a national network for pulmary fibrosis clinical research." Then he ended his letter with a nice personal touch. He is on the Subcommittee on Research. My husband's hanging in there. We hope to attend the seminar at UCLA. Anyone

else? Best to all of you! Gretel Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo! Mail beta.
