what's the purpose of the study? Was it useful?Luzwe are doing a study with NIH for my 3 year old ASD daughter and one of the tests in the study was an MRI. Basically they wanted to put her to sleep and do all of the tests at once but I didn't feel comfortable with that (I did originally schedule it that way but just got more and more nervous). So when I told them I didn't feel comfortable putting her to sleep I thought they'd say we couldn't be in the study (I wanted in it to get all of the free testing done). Anyway they allowed us to do the MRI while she was sleeping naturally. They helped train her for it by sending us CD sounds of the MRI machine and ear plugs...we used them at home for weeks before the actual test. Luckily it all worked out and she slept through the whole MRI and they got great results from it and we didn't have to put her to sleep. It's all so scary. We just want what's best for our kids but the way to find results is scary too w/all of these tests...Kathy DragoAUTISM AWARENESS Ed and Luz Zabinzabin.luzed@...Directly from the Red Barn!
