Guest guest
Hello all, I have a two fold question regarding therapy considerations with a wound VAC. 1. In order to allow for easier gait training or rehab in general, do any of you disconnect a wound VAC during therapy treatment by clamping the VAC tubing near the VAC sponge? 2. If so, does your approach change if the patient has a positive MRSA culture from the wound? Any feedback is appreciated. Troy

Guest guest
I would like to dovetail on Troy's question about Wound VAc. Are any therapists currently applying the Wound Vac, billing for it under a therapy POC? I understand there will be a new CPT code in 2005 for NPWT which PT's can use. What about now? Are any of you repsonsible for this and billing under an unlisted code? Thanks in advance. Ellen R.
