Guest guest
I had discussion today on being able to use the wording of " may use " for developing the Plan of Care for home health and for that matter outpatient. An example would be " modalities as needed, may use ultrasound for pain and swelling until no longer clinically needed " ; or " may use walker, quad cane, or single point cane for gait training " ; Or " may use silvadene " for wound. In discussing this with a Medicare rep doing a survey, she felt this was the way a PT could word the plan of care such that the therapist would not need to send a new Plan each time the patient progresses. Anyone use this type of wording to allow for greatest autonomy with developing Plan of Care. Steve Marcum PT Kentucky
