Guest guest
john- thanks for you helful reply-were you told to expect to continue to get extra beats after your ablation? Is that because they are coming from foci that were not ablated as they were not the ones triggering your affib-?Please stay well and affib free- jerry
Guest guest
Jerry, I was informed that the Heart goes through extreme trauma when having an ablation, It can take six months to recover and up to I year to heal , depending on how much you have had done to your Atria. I have found that Eating Becanol the Margarine for cutting down your LDL fats, has an effect of making my chest go tight and causing arm pain and increased ectopics. MY wife has now banned me from eating or experimenting with this product. I have also discovered that if I take some vitamins this can cause ectopics for a day or so then the body gets use to it and I go back to normal. I am now finding that I still have tummy pains like somebody has kicked me in the Diaphragm, and then goes away after three days. I always thought this was the drugs but now I am not on any meds with the exception of Wafarin. I did not get this before I was diagnosed with AF. I still have a tightness across the back so I do not know if that will ever go away, so days are better than others of course. Perhaps it is the Wafarin only time will tell, if all goes well I will come of this in jan 2002. Best regards C Ps I am not suggesting that any of the above does cause Ectopics but I feel we have a weakness in out hearts and the end result is ectopics. john- thanks for you helful reply-were you told to expect to continue to get extra beats after your ablation? My normal cholesterol is low buy my good cholesterol was very low (35) to start out with. Now my readings are total 172, good 75 and triglicerides 98. I also use an oil call Udo's Choice that is high in Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids. MK

I have been doing well lately on the less sugar, no supplements, few sulfites thing, until I had a major stress today and when into a higher incidence of " stuff " although that has possibly calmed down now. I had asked my doc about chest tightness, thinking it was the beta blocker. It will be interesting to see if dropping the benecol- equivalent gets rid of it. Too bad if it is causing a problem, as it has done wonders for my cholesterol. Trudy

I rarely got them after a run, but when my A-Fib episodes stopped, I found I got regular PACs lasting from minutes to hours. Quite by chance I discovered that deep, diapraghmatic breathing stopped them instantly! You might want to try it (about 5-10 minutes every day, or when you feel the PACs) all I can say is that it worked for me... nad it's free! ========== Thanks for the tip .
