Guest guest
Thank you for replying. I am sitting here waiting for someone to read my questions. It is scary to consider surgery. I am scared about how high my weight will reach if I don't lose this weight now before it causes major injury to my health. Kira > Hey, Kira, > > Mine was without incident. I had it laprascopically and was in the hospital for 2 days. Other than not sleeping well from the hospital bed and being sore, I had no real pain. It took me about 8 weeks to feel my energy - weird for me as I bounce back quickly - but I feel great today and have for some time. > > I followed everything my nutrionist said. My surgeon started me on pureed - some get started on liquids. I worked hard before surgery to change many old thought patterns. I feel this is vital if you want to be a WLS success. If I had viewed this as I had viewed other " diets " , I would fail at this, too. I am over 7 months out and have never stayed this consistent on any life change around food in my life. Surgery is a tool and you have to work it properly. > > I have said before that I did have some vomiting - this was of my own design. Food not cut small enough, too dry, that one last bite. I learned the hard way to make sure I do the above correctly. > > The farther out I am, the more I can eat, though it's still very small amounts. I have to readjust for this and be very aware of it. I work at keeping my body hydrated and sated - never too hungry or too full as this. Just even. > > If you want any more info, feel free to ask - there is a lot to know and the more you know as a pre-op, the better you are. > > Hugs, > > > > >
