Dr. Gallo of the Institute of Human Virology and Dr. Pellett of the Cleveland Clinic will serve as Co- chairs of the conference. Dr. Dharam Ablashi, co-discoverer of the virus and Scientific Director of the HHV-6 Foundation will serve as Co- Chairs of the Program Committee with Steve son of the NINDS and Pellett of the Cleveland Clinic. The HHV-6 Foundation is a non-profit entity formed to foster basic and clinical research into HHV-6 and its disease associations. 6th International Conference on HHV-6 & 7 Online registration will open in December 2007. <http://www.hhv6.eventrelay.com/> HHV-6 & 7 in CNS Disease There will be special sessions on HHV-6A in MS, and HHV-6 A & B in encephalitis and cognitive dysfunction. There will also be workshops on the role HHV-6 & 7 in Seizures & Epilepsy, which will include the role of HHV-6B in epilepsy, status epilepticus and febrile seizures. Conference Topics The HHV-6 Conference will cover the following topics: * Overviews on HHV-6 & 7 * Epidemiology * Chromosomally integrated HHV-6 * Molecular Biology * Cell Biology * Molecular and Serological Assays * Reactivation in Transplant Patients * HHV-6 in CNS Dysfunction/CFS * HHV-6 in Myocarditis * HHV-6 Immunosuppression & AIDS * HHV-6 & Lymphoma * HHV-6 & 7 in skin disorders & DIHS * Antivirals & Immunomodulatory Treatments * HHV-6 in Multiple Sclerosis * HHV-6 in Malignancy * HHV-6 in Encephalitis * HHV-6 in Epilepsy, Status Epilepticus, and Seizures Events During The Conference We have several extracurricular events lined up during the conference. Please check back in March to find out more. Baltimore You will enjoy visiting beautiful Baltimore in the early summer when the weather is ideal.
