Guest guest
If any one is interested go to (amiodarone and grapefruit) on yahoo search bar. Then click on (Reference #65 Dramatic inhibition of amiodarone metabolism....) I just found out that grapefruit/juice makes me go afib! Maybe this will help someone. Of course, eighteen years ago I didn't know I had afib, but drinking grapefruit juice would definitely cause the symptoms which I later learned were afib. Over the years other acidic drinks have caused afib: iced tea with lemon, (plain, decaffeinated tea is fine) orange juice, and tomato juice. About six months ago I unwittingly drank a glass of grape juice, which I didn't associate with high acidity, and afib struck within four hours. I have learned to be on the lookout for foods with high acidic content, but occasionally I still make a mistake and pay for it with afib. in sinus in Seattle
