Guest guest
Our son also fits this profile, 75% weight and 10% height. We had his a bone age X-Ray and GH tested, and he is okay, but will watch him because he has not grown very much. He has only lost about 6 teeth as well and he is 9. [sPAM] Re: Help!! Son isn't growing Wow. Thank you, Jill, and good luck! I'll be interested in what you find out. As much as I was hoping for someone to say " everything is just fine, don't worry " , it's something of a relief to know there's at least another person here having the same experience... I also got a response off-list that recommended that I get him tested for adequate levels of Vitamin D. The test is called Vit D 25, or possibly Hydroxie 25. Guest guest
Thank you so much for posting your original question Donna. I am going by memory here but the first research published by IAN showed that an overwhelming majority of people that are participating in the project are mothers of children that are five and under. The most recent questions they asked were in regard to their present height and weight. I think it is very important that they look at height and weight on an annual basis to see if there is a trend of children not developing after a certain age. - My kids were HUGE babies. They both weighed over 10 lbs at birth and I only weighed 120 lbs before I got pregnant with my oldest. I am only 5' 5 " but my then husband was 6'4 " . Even my ex only weighed 8lbs when he was born. All the best, Jill p.s. They should also look at dental records. --------------------------------- Get easy, one-click access to your favorites. Make your homepage. Guest guest
My son was a big baby, too...not as big as yours, but still a nice, healthy 9 lbs., and a 9.9 APGAR too. I'm glad I brought this up, too. It's clear there really is a common thread going on here. Donna > > Thank you so much for posting your original question Donna.
