I have a question - wouldn't MJ adversly affect LDN if they are used together? Maybe Montel isn't smoking ... I heard he was using Copaxone which isn't a interferon I think. Now I have the question with MJ being counter productive to LDN? Also what about chocolate? Is there anyone who has noticed whether or not chocolate has reduced the impact of LDN for them?don kirk <djfarmbig@...> wrote: HI SUSAN,TO my knowledge montel smokes marijuana,he is also taking an interferon he doesn't say which one in his book. His book is called CLIMBING HIGHER. Has anyone heard anything? My sister passed away in 1982 at the age of 43 after 7 years of being diagnosed with Fulminating MS. It was horrible for her. Nope, not a problem with the first question, but CHOCOLATE/COCOA totally destroys me. LDN helps battle the attacks, but I'm sure if I ate enough of it, the chocolate would win. It's nothing to do with LDN, it's the chocolate MS trigger reaction in me.

If LDN is like bailing out a boat with a small hole, chocolate makes the hole bigger, whether LDN can bail fast enough to stay ahead of the sinking would be an individual thing.

Dark Chocolate is worse for me, it causes vertigo regardless.

Is your SO a significant partaker of both? Maybe give up the Chocolate and see how he feels after 3-6 weeks.

Not a partaker of either - I have been doing some research on how LDN works and it is a question that I have raised (among othersrs). LDN blocks opioid receptors and although MJ is labeled a narcotic it blocks canabioid receptors so while all the material says not to take LDN with narcotics, I haven't been able to find any definitive proof that MJ is a true narcotic although it does have some pain killing qualities. So I haven't been able to get an answer I am happy with for my own edification. Chocolate also has an effect on the over all well being of a person but as I am not sure about the effect on the receptors and was not going to delve into that if I could find someone who already looked into it. Otherwise I will make that another question to answer with more research. Thanks for your response! As an ex-smoker myself Kelli I can say that is the ONLY way to quit. I just kept reminding myself of all the things I didn't like about it and changed the habits that I had connected to smoking. Good luck! Kelli Balloch <kelli_balloch@...> wrote: Unfortunately it hasn't done the same thing for my smoking cigarettes ....oh well, will just have to give up
