Happy to report that the six days I spent in the mountains in Wyoming earlier this summer (at 6,000+ ft) produced no arrythmias or afib. A couple of days I hiked up to 8,000 feet and though I was slightly winded for the effort, it was exhilarating. Now home in hot and humid North Carolina, I have just had a couple of episodes back to back, perhaps brought on in part by the heat, humidity, and poor air quality? Who knows???
