adrenals - drs /Hansen/Hertoghe

.... just to let you know that dr Vivian does test the

adrenals. She did suggest testing my adrenal hormones (without me

mentioning any adrenal problem). I do not know however how she tests

nor how she treats adrenal problems as I did not pursue it. However,

she did suggest adrenal testing as well as trying out Armour (versus

synthetic T4 and cytomel). She does not look at the TSH; she is fine

with a very suppressed TSH. She does test Free T4 and Free T3 and

likes to stay within the range but easily above mid-range.

I understand that the drs in Clearlake may not combine Armour and

synthetic T4, and that Dr may do this now. Dr Hertoghe in

Belgium still uses *only* Armour, she never uses synthetic T4, nor

does she add synthetic T4. It doesn't make any of these drs (in

Clearlake and Belgium) bad drs however.

I have seen Dr Hansen once, Dr Hertoghe once, and Dr V many

times. I like all three. Dr Hertoghe is definitely my favorite, a

visit last at least 2-2 1/2 hours, she just looks at EVERYTHING and

asks HUNDREDS of questions, ..., the cost is $125, and worth every

penny. I have never met a dr like her. If I understand well, Dr

has been using similar protocols since his wife was treated

by Dr Hertoghe.
