Dr. in Lubbock...another question

I have been reading with much interest the posts about those of you

who have traveled to Lubbock to see Dr. . After too many

doctors who will NOT listen, and too many years of feeling awful...I

need some guidance! I am basically non-functioning right now...just

trying my best to make it through each day (on 4-5 hrs of sleep each

night!). I suspect my adrenals are not functioning properly, have

been on a Synthroid roller-coaster for years, and have a ferritin

level of 18...and the doctors keep telling me " it's not your

thyroid, see your family doctor. "

I'd be traveling from Houston and I have some basic questions...

How do they handle your lab work? Do they send you a lab slip so

you can have blood drawn locally?

Do they return calls if you're having problems? I can't get a

doctor to call me back now...and with a doctor alllll the way up in

Lubbock, that's kinda scary for me to consider. With the

possibility of new Rx and treatments, what if I have a question or

concern?

Any scary situations I need to check with his office about before I

make the appointment? Fortunately, he is covered by my insurance

and travel costs will be minimal...thank goodness.

I just feel like I can't hardly think any more about any of this,

it's so damned overwhelming to be chasing your tail every day trying

to get some help. I know it's not normal to feel like this, just

need somebody to listen.

Advice? And thanks!

(Houston)
